Dr Elena Mustakova – Global Unitive Healing and Justice

What does justice look like in an interdependent and highly complex and diverse planetary civilization?

At the heart of the divisions in society today is a crisis of identity, as well as the power of masked economic interest groups to feed the divisiveness of competing groups and to draw greater profit from the resulting social instability. It is critical, therefore, to help people understand that the historic, ethnic, and cultural identities that seem to divide us, were shaped and reshaped by encounters with other groups and cultures over periods both of peace and of conflict but are all the result of the human soul striving towards truth, justice, and goodness. We all want to heal the traumas of our past and we all feel strongly about what is ‘fair’. It is this striving toward healing and justice that unites us and can help us transcend historic divisions. We can no longer heal ourselves or our group alone, at the expense of others. In this planetary age of interdependence, we need an evolutionary leap in the understanding of justice, based on the unitive narrative that both science and wisdom traditions offer. Unitive justice provides a practical link between our individual lives and planetary survival
