What a Piece of Work - on Being Human
Essays by a Christian theologian on what it means to be human. The short chapters take the form of sermon-essays on a variety of themes, many of which are expressed in the present participle -- such as responding, loving, recognising, hoping, thinking, making, forgiving and praising. The width of reference is wide and the treatment rigorous. The appeal seems to be more directly to fellow Christians but readers will benefit from the author's perspective.
