The Turn of the Tide - The Autobiography of Diana Fynn

The Turn of the Tide is no ordinary biography. Covering many psychic and spiritual experiences throughout the author's life from 1920 to 2005, it also includes examples of her own highly moving and accessible poetry where appropriate. This is a well written book which covers her time as a young woman working in MI5, living through the Blitz on London, her married life in Rhodesia with five children, her involvement with African politics at the time of UDI, and her ban from entering South Africa, the last of which, together with political problems in Rhodesia, led to her return to England in 1971. The second half of the book spans the last 35 years and describes various psychic and spiritual experiences which have continued to occur during her later life through contact with friends and mediums. Fynn's description of events during the time covered by The Turn of the Tide will make compulsive reading for those who can still remember the early and middle years of the last century, but will be equally fascinating for anyone with an interest in the past - or in spiritual experiences - who wants to hear about them first-hand.
