Visions for Renewed Religious Life in America from Young Spiritual Leaders of Many Faiths

This is an interesting book written by young spiritual leaders of many faiths and setting out visions for renewed religious life in America. It probes what is called 'moored' rather than unmoored spirituality, by which is meant spirituality within a tradition rather than the former free-floating and individualised version. For me it was inspiring to read of the authors' commitment and vision - and the most interesting contribution was by Roshi Norman Fischer. He sees the necessity of religion exploring and caring for the human heart, the deepest, most intimate self. This means making time for reflection and silence amidst our habitual busyness.
