Seeing Ghosts, Experiences of the Paranormal

This is quite simply the definitive book on ghosts written so far, examining all aspects of the phenomenon. The author begins by carefully distinguishing various types of ghost - revenants, haunters, crisis apparitions, phantasms of the living and other smaller categories - before proceeding to an analysis of the process and purpose of the ghost experience, investigations, experiencing subjects, and ending with chapters on understanding and implications. There are case histories throughout and the discussion is level-headed. The book ends with a series of propositions summing up the author's findings about this theoretically very complex area of human experience. There is no single answer to the question, do ghosts exist? Subtle thinking and an open mind are required to distinguish levels and types of experience before drawing any tentative conclusions. However, this book makes it clear that the field deserves serious consideration.
