understanding the critical period between conception and the first birthday
by Michael Odent ✦ Review by David Lorimer, December 2002
Subtitled 'understanding the critical period between conception and the first birthday', this book is a reprint of Michel's 1986 book but with a new introduction and postscript. Much research has been conducted in the interim, which can be found on www.birthworks.org/primal health, but the points he makes are as relevant today as they were 15 years ago and still insufficiently widely known. Michel recommends a cultivating gardening approach to health and provides much useful advice in this respect. The book is dedicated to Antione Bechamp, whose interaction with the opportunistic and ambitious Pasteur makes interesting reading. His concept of 'le terrain' is still hugely important in current debates on health.
