We learn, for instance, that bees make up to 15 excursions and day from the hive, visiting up to 100 flowers on each journey - certainly an epitome of hard work. For those thinking of keeping bees, there is a questionnaire entitled to bee or not to bee assessing whether the individual has the necessary commitment to keep bees.
