Science Philosophy of Science

Perspectives on an Evolving Creation

This is a scholarly collection of articles that finds its natural home in the US rather than in Europe. The main thrust of the book is to demonstrate the compatibility of an evolutionary concept of creation with evangelical Christianity that holds the word of God to be infallible. Disciplines represented include the history of science, cosmology, paleontology, biochemistry, anthropology, complexity theory and neuroscience. The section on scientific evidence and theory is followed by another on theological implications; and some chapters are followed by short codas on topics for worship. This is a meticulous piece of work that makes for demanding reading.
