Death Dying

Only a Thought Away

A Personal Story of Bereavement and Communication Beyond Death

A personal account of events following the death of her husband Martin in 2003. The book describes events leading up to his death and its immediate aftermath. A month later she went to consult Paul Lambillion, through whom her husband was able to communicate, although she does not on that basis underestimate the physical challenges of bereavement. They both had extensive experience of working with mediums so this was familiar territory. A good deal of detail is provided, and the discussion is enriched by references from the literature, including Paul Beard and David Fontana. For comparison, two other sets of communications are included along with significant events occurring in the weeks following death. The second part is devoted to a discussion of mediumship and problems of communication, and is well informed by extracts from background reading. This gives the reader an insight into a philosophy whereby we are seen as spiritual beings having a human experience. The author also went on to found the Quaker Fellowship for Afterlife Studies as a forum for discussion. The book will be particularly helpful to those facing bereavement who want to extend their spiritual explorations.
