Death Dying

Live Forever or Your Money Back

How We Age, How We Die and How Not To!

A maverick and lively book that challenges some deep-seated assumptions about ageing and death. The author argues that, 'contrary to the perceived reality, ageing is not a natural condition but an imposed and wholly artificial one' based on a collective belief system. Hence 'ageing is a biological function triggered by a psychogenic virus.' The virus is a subliminal instruction to age, which is wired into our belief systems rather than our genes. The rest of the book revolves round these basic propositions, drawing on life experiences as well as wide reading and providing a range of thought experiments to encourage the reader to question their basic assumptions. The book is a curious mixture, sometimes outrageous but always stimulating, although I'm not sure how many people will have the stamina to reach the end of it.
