by Anne Cawthorn, Peter A Mackereth ✦ Review by David Lorimer, December 2010
A comprehensive book about complementary approaches in clinical care in two parts: key concepts, and approaches in clinical practice. The book is very well set out with an outline of chapter contents, a summary of each chapter, plus keywords and references. This makes it easy to use. Among the themes explored are an integrated model of hypnotherapy, ethical and legal issues, the therapeutic relationship, working with children and specific approaches for giving up smoking, cancer and gastrointestinal disorders. A valuable resource for any complementary practitioners.
