Images of Earth & Spirit

This beautifully produced volume is a Resurgence art anthology drawing on interviews with artists over many years of issues, and includes nearly 150 colour images from artists who celebrate the earth from a spiritual perspective. Over fifty artists from many different cultures are featured, so that the reader can appreciate the sheer extent of artistic expression. Few of the subjects are that well-known, with perhaps Cecil Collins the most famous and interviewed by the late William Anderson. I was glad to see Robin Baring's work next to Cecil Collins, and the art editor himself is interviewed by Satish Kumar. This is a delightful book that enhances our understanding of contemporary spirituality in art.
