Grounding Sociality - Neurons, Mind, and Culture

A technical collection of papers on neurons, mind and culture. Interestingly in the light of the other book on relational ontology reviewed in this section, the underlying philosophical basis of this volume is overcoming separation so as to achieve relationship and communication. The authors look at neural mechanisms such as mirror neurons, the nature of perception and memory, motivation and other factors including culture and evolution. All this points towards a fundamental interconnectedness also reflected in social networks. The outcome is a bridge-building volume delineating various levels or layers of sociality and shedding light on the ways in which we communicate and empathise with other people's mental states.
