Face to Face with Cancer
Third edition of a book originally published in 1988. The author's first experience with cancer, initially in the case of her father, led her to ask all sorts of questions which other people in her situation would also pose. The book is subtitled 'comfort and practical advice for sufferers and carers.' Although the author's own religious faith is explicit, she does not neglect other perspectives on suffering. She also discusses the whole range of possible interventions at each stage. One notable omission in the resources section is Beata Bishop's book 'A Time to Heal' but the book can be recommended as a helpful guide.
