A well-written reflection on the power of growing older by an author who had a wake-up call with a heart attack at the age of 56. The metaphor in the title indicates our attitude towards extra time. One of the highlights is a letter to his sons containing a great deal of sage advice, including to be vulnerable – ‘at least to love and the most rewarding moments of your life.’
