Connection

This personal book advocates a balance of holism with the prevailing reductionist approach applied to medicine and health. As the title suggests, it looks at various forms of connection – body, food, breath, mind, life, environment and cosmos. This involves posture, lifestyle and diet and their relation to various diseases, the contention that overbreathing makes you ill (based on the findings of Buteyko), neuroplasticity and the development of the mind, the fundamental nature of health drawing on the Peckham Experiment, various environmental challenges, and how we fit into the larger cosmic picture. It is very much the conclusions of reflection and reading over many decades, and as such a personal viewpoint driven by a passion for the fundamentals of health and the need for personal responsibility.
