Brothers and Sisters - The Order of Birth in the Family

A reissue of this classic work by one of the founders of the Camphill movement. Readers will approach the book from their respective family positions, which in my case is the first of four. The book begins with the case of the only child, moving on to first-, second- and third-born. The first two have something in common but there are in the end more differences than similarities. It was striking to see the first-born characterised as a defender of faith, tradition and the family against new ideas and actions. Surely the balance is critical here, as the Prince of Wales frequently reminds Us.
