Awakening from Below – Navigating through Darkness and Spiritual Emergency

This is a personal account that will be very helpful to others going through a similar process of descent into darkness – a great deal of spiritual practice is about ascent into the light, potentially involving spiritual bypass. Here, the author recounts his challenging journey into bodily intelligence, sexual energy, emotions, trauma, the earth, the elements, ancestors, spirits, ghosts, demons, the imaginal, the soul, the dark feminine (p. 12).
