As It Is

The Open Secret to Living an Awakened Life

This book is a complete contrast in tone to the Jourdain dialogues although coming from the same stable. Both insist that our ordinary sense of self is in some sense unreal but Tony Parsons' style is direct and simple rather than analytical: 'I am already that which I seek'. Just drop the sense of separation. 'Life is not a task. There is absolutely nothing to attain except the realisation that there is absolutely nothing to attain'. 'There is no possibility for the mind to still the mind, and once it is recognised that what you are is the still, silent awareness that sees the mind and its activities going on, then it is also recognised that there is no need to still the mind'.
