Human Uniqueness in Science and Theology

This is a series of Gifford lectures about human uniqueness in science and theology, specifically in the fields of theological anthropology and paleoanthropology. The author focuses on the interdisciplinary problem of human origins and distinctiveness, arguing that scientific notions of human uniqueness help ground their theological counterparts. Issues addressed include cognitive evolution, the history of the image of God and the process of symbolisation. The book is tightly argued and rather technical.
