100 Words - Two Hundred Visionaries Share their Hope for the
I must confess an interest in this book as one of the many contributors - indeed the Network is well represented in the very wide range of contributions. The format of the book is that each author has two pages, with their message on the right and a biography and five key books on the left. Jane Goodall writes of our helplessness leading us to do nothing. We have extraordinary brains, yet we are destroying our planet with a disconnect between the clever brain and the compassionate heart. However, as she says, each of us makes a difference and together we can change the world. Most writers refer explicitly or implicitly to a transformation of consciousness parallel to the activity of NGOs documented by Paul Hawken in his book Blessed Unrest. I recommend you buy two copies of this book - one so that you can read a page every day, and a second one to give away or put in your spare bedroom.
