Death Dying
Embracing Death a New Look at Grief, Gratitude and God
A really interesting book based around the author's own experience of losing her son at the age of 16. It appears that he subsequently becomes one of her spiritual informers, expanding her understanding of life and its purpose. Those familiar with esoteric literature will recognise many themes here, for instance our relationship to the One, the density and separation of the material realm, a vibrational universe, the role of meditation and recurring patterns of relationship in multiple lives. The author recounts the number of seemingly uncanny episodes involving what others would call coincidence, but the philosophy here is that there are no coincidences and timing is always perfect. The reason we open ourselves to divine guidance is that our lives will then make more sense and we can go some way towards transcending our limitations. Towards the end of the book, the author suggests 10 steps for opening towards the higher realms, crucially making contact with our deepest self and working to release blocks and resistances.
