How to Build a Nuclear Bomb - and other weapons of mass destruction

Not a book for the faint-hearted but a very necessary documentation which, in its own words 'contributes to informed debate by providing factual information on the characteristics of WMDs - biological, chemical, nuclear and radiological - and the effectsof their use'. Barnaby shows how nuclear weapons are here to stay and that the US and others are now considering using tactical weapons in warfare. Can one then blame countries for wanting to join the nuclear club? This then links into the terrorist threat, but unfortunately within a growing spiral of fear which in turn justifies the removal of civil rights - the defence of liberty requires that it be curtailed! Can we seriously envisage a secure world on the basis of fear and control?
