Seven Steps to Justice

This is a really radical book that amounts to complete rethink of economics and politics and which originated in five years of dialogue around the need for stable currencies. The fundamental insight and starting point for their proposals is the fact that 97% of the annual creation of money arises from the system of compound interest and only 3% from governments. This means that a loan of $100 at 12% compound interest doubles in four years and becomes $800 in 18 years; moreover, governments themselves borrow from the banking system, which makes capital expenditure very expensive in the long term. This book proposes a radical overhaul of the system, giving power back to people and their governments as well as providing two basic incomes and capital ownership for all, a proper deal for women, and even a solution to the problems of the Middle East and Kashmir. Unbelievable? You'd better read the book!
