Essays on Swedenborg
A new book of essays on Swedenborg, who has been largely marginalised within the history of Western science and philosophy. There are two essays relating to Swedenborg and Kant - one on the idea of spiritual intuition and the other on Swedenborg's influence on the development of Kant's moral philosophy. Two essays on his ideas of the soul follow, then a consideration of Swedenborg's influence on Schopenhauer. The book helps place Swedenborg back in the stream of ideas where he belongs and can be recommended to readers of a philosophical bent.
