Moore's overall view is that we must not allow ourselves to be dominated by market-led developments but must nevertheless take advantage of the opportunities offered. He depicts a doom and an enlightened scenario for the outcome of genetic applications and enables the reader to reach informed conclusions on a range of issues, while avoiding both hype and outright rejection.
