A Short Course in the Philosophy of Religion

An introductory book that sets the study of philosophy of religion in our current historical context with chapter on history itself, the significance of subjectivity and developments in language philosophy and deconstructionism. This leads to a discussion of reductionism and the nature of interpretation. Then there are two good chapters on theodicy that draw on literature - for instance Dostoevsky - as well as a final chapter on eternal life. It is a clear exposition suitable for the general reader.
