On the Nature of Prejudice

A volume to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the publication of Gordon Allport's seminal work 'The Nature of Prejudice' and written by academic psychologists who have followed up the oriiginal work. This is a timely collection in view of the state of the world, and contains eight sections, including Preferential Thinking, Group Differences, Dynamics of Prejudice, Character Structure and Reducing Group Tensions. Each essay considers developments since Allport, assessing whether he was correct, and indications of future directions of thinking.
