the spirituality and ethics of eating
Subtitled 'the spirituality and ethics of eating', this book has grown out of the author's Theology and Eating course. I don't know of another book that covers the same kind of ground from a theological perspective. It outlines our desire for complete nourishment, expressed in delight and sharing, then explores Biblical views on the purposes of eating, also reflected in the Eucharist and practices of fasting and feasting. Jung then broadens his scope to consider disorders in the global food system at a personal and collective level, and how these may be tackled.
