Living Advaita, conversations on the nature of non-duality
by Paula Marvelly ✦ Review by David Lorimer, August 2004
Subtitled 'Living Advaita, conversations on the nature of non-duality', this is a book of interviews with living teachers of Advaita from around the world, many of whom are little known. The book is an engaging tour, describing the circumstances in which the meetings took place as well as providing a transcript of the interviews. One of the ironies is that Advaita recognises the limitations of language and concepts, and yet they are indispensable to communication. Paula is a good guide in that she asks the questions that might occur to any seeker. Hence the book is a good one for spiritual explorers interested in Advaita but who cannot visit these teachers
