Biopsychosocial Interactions

This is another in the excellent series of textbooks produced by Blackwell and deals in this case with a relatively new field that studies psychological processes in health, illness and healthcare. The three main sections are Health and Illness Behaviour, Process and Outcome in Illness, and Health-Care Contexts and the Practice of Health Psychology. The chapters are written by individual experts addressing such issues as stress, coping, chronic illness, quality of life and communication in medical encounters.
