Love and the World

A Guide to Conscious Soul Practice

An extended meditation on spiritual psychology as the practice of love of oneself, others and the world. Sardello defines it has 'an active practice that develops embodied, conscious, soul life to make that life open and receptive to the spiritual realms. This is done as an act of love towards ourselves, others and the world'. Soul is not defined here in ontological terms but as a capacity in relation to something larger than ourselves. One of his starting points is Rudolf Steiner's anthroposophy but considered from a psychological angle. The book is best read in a contemplative mode over a period of time so as to feel as well as think oneself into its content.
