Colour Dynamics

This is a workbook of watercolour painting and colour theory by an artist trained in the Steiner tradition. It begins by exploring the quality of various colours and shades and ways in which they can be combined. It then moves on to look at complementary and clashing colours, the polarity of red and blue and the nature of sunrises and sunsets as an interplay between light and dark. The final part gives a review of colour from history. The book is brightly illustrated not only with colours but also with quotations from artists and poets. The reader comes to appreciate the feeling tone of different colours and their combinations in a new way.
