The Gentleman and the Faun

Some readers will be familiar with 'Roc' and his connection with the early years at Findhorn. This book recounts his encounters with the elemental kingdom, beginning in the botanical Garden in Edinburgh and extending to different parts of the country. The essays are by Roc himself, but there are also contributions from David Spangler, Dorothy Maclean, Peter Caddy and Brian Nobbs. The reader is opened up to a different order of intelligence in nature, including Pan and those elementals who helped produce the extraordinary vegetables at Findhorn. The book extends one's understanding of reality and the relationship between humans and other forms of life: we have laid waste to the planet and ignored kingdoms other than our own, at the same time as denying the possibility of their existence. The overall message is that we must re-establish harmonious relationships with Nature.
