Psychology Consciousness Studies

Reborn for Love

Hernani Andrade was a Brazilian psychical researcher and this book is a compelling account of his investigation of a fascinating case of memories of a previous life. It begins with a friendship between a schoolgirl and a Catholic priest, who keep in touch after she has left. A number of years later, after the birth of her second son Kilden, the child provides verifiable memories of the life of Father Jonathan (referring to him by his familiar name Alexandre) which he could not possibly have known. All this evidence is examined in detail along with possible explanatory hypotheses including fraud, cryptomnesia, telepathy, genetic memory, mediumistic incorporation and reincarnation. The detail is as impressive as in the best cases in Ian Stevenson's work, and is a valuable addition to this literature.
