The Significance of Complexity
Approaching a Complex World Through Science, Theology and the Humanities
Subtitled 'Approaching a Complex World Through Science, Theology and the Humanities', this is a relatively technical but interdisciplinary work subdivided into the three elements of the subtitle. The science section addresses complexity in evolution, the use of computers and its application as a metaphor for biological processes. Philosophy is represented by a discussion of non-completeness and of a 'digital aesthetic', while the theologians cover the evolution of mental complexity and the complexity in systematic theology, which is reduced by considering fewer relations or component parts.
