Ensoulment

This is the second finely illustrated book on Ensoulment, about which Natalie has also spoken in this year on our webinar platform. It introduces an entirely original qualitative model of ontology and epistemology based on Natalie’s own insights and which I regard as a very important contribution to our self-understanding as what she calls vessels - temporary stable carriers of experience. The book is about reality and how it is created and evolved, a crucial capacity at this time when so much of our energy is being directed into technology at the expense of our immediate experienced reality. The reader becomes familiar with Natalie’s terminology and the relationship between the key ideas in a world of experience. Her three primary elements are vessels, soul particles of experience (sxps) and the soul of the world as ‘the totality of all actualised essences, souls, vessels, sxps and realities.’ (p. 17) These are all continuously interacting, holographically weaving to actualise realities. It is crucial to understand ‘how the world functions as one body and soul, living and breathing through us… as a vibrational – energetic– conscious organism.’ (p. 20) The book is extensively illustrated to help readers visually understand the core concepts and their relationships.

Natalie explains the nature of what she calls the 12 essences and the 12 archetypal influencers as topographical pathways in a reality where ‘experience is the substance from which the fabric of existence is woven’ (p. 30) The model is inherently dynamic, co-creative and interactive, where soul ‘is the experiential accumulated expression of a unique combination of essential ripples’ creating characteristic causal imprints. All the key terms are extensively defined along with their relationships. Qualia play a central role and define our felt sense of identity. At the same time, we are each broadcasting and emanating our experience as trails and ripples, and as vessels we are actualising primordial potentiality as part of an entrained, intertwined and interconnected systemic process. Our sensorium gives us a unique perspective from the totality of our sxps. Affinity arises from the closeness of vibrational patterns and frequencies, as we all know in terms of neutrality, and attraction and repulsion.

Vessels are a precondition of a multi-dimensional reality as the total lived experience field in the cosmic playground. Natalie explains the qualities and processes of reality and the interactions arising - even from presence and noticing. Desire to become, to be more is an essential driver in an arena of conscious and unconscious, forefront and background. Her conceptualisation of the nature of the soul of world is especially important at this time when we need to manifest a very different reality, and we are all in fact constantly participating in this fabric - whether we realise it or not - since we are all turning potentiality into actuality in our own lives within this holographic fractal fabric that we share. She also has an interesting take on time, which ‘opens vessels experiences and spreads them onto space to allow vessels to witness, process and evolve from their experiences.’ Our very body and soul ‘are made of time and are residing in it, changing and ageing with it. Time and space exist because All that Is cannot be revealed all at once in the human earthly dimension.’ (p. 116)

The final part is devoted to humanity and technology, where we are in danger of atrophying our innate sensory capacities by outsourcing them. The key question is whether ‘Technology can become a supportive evolutionary agent enhancing human capacities and supporting all of life’ in a context where trajectory of biotechnology, genetic engineering, artificial intelligence, nanotechnology and robotics is towards the merging of humans and machines, whereby the future of biological humanity is at risk. Now is the time to be considering these questions of human attention, intention and life-force as the real currency. Where is our life-force flowing and who are we becoming? What are our fundamental values? All this requires an advance of human consciousness, which is lagging behind our technological capacity, as many commentators have observed. It is also crucial, as Natalie notes, to honour all ways of knowing and to support the emergence of regenerative cosmological narrative. This is a brilliant and comprehensive exposition that repays close study and forms the basis of ‘reality research’ as the point of departure for conscious reality creation.
